Dili, 30 September 2025 - The Faculty of Social Human Sciences through the Department of Peace Studies organised an academic seminar to present the Research findings on "The Conflict and Violence between Youth and Students in Academic Institutions," which took place in the Jose Kasimiro Hall of the University of Peace.

 The Faculty of Human Sciences, Fernando Dias Gusmao A.Md, S.IP, M.AP, representing the Magnific Director of UNPAZ, stated that in the opening of the seminar, the conflict between youth and students continues to occur until now, so that this theme is very important for all parties to think together about how to prevent violence from becoming an abit of this country.

 He said that violence is a bad thing, as the consequences of this violence can cause the victim to harm people's goods, but violence continues to occur regularly, so that higher education does not educate students, society, and parents and parents do not put the importance of controlling their children.

 "The democracy is often interpreted again by using their rights to destroy the rights of others, which is not a thing, a true democracy means that a person is using his rights, but not resembling the rights of others," said FKSH.

 At the same time, the Head of the Department of Peace Studies, Azerino do Carmo Vieira, added through the research of the students, how to know the real conflict and how to prevent the conflict in order to develop the country properly, because the Department of Peace Studies continues to run, has produced a number of students, and has contributed to the development of the state although the state has not yet recognized the maximum number of studies.

 He suggested for the Government to put a little money into the Peace Study to make an. This study is very important to contribute to this country.

 The academic seminar was in collaboration with the students of the Department of Peace Studies together with the Faculty of Social Sciences and the University of Peace.
