History and Establishment of UNPAZ
Universidade da Paz, commonly known as UNPAZ, is a distinguished private academic institution located in Timor-Leste. It was established by a group of intellectuals, primarily focusing on providing higher education in the region. The university was born out of contention within the structure of Dili University (UNDIL), transitioning into a standalone institution aiming to cater to the educational needs of the community.

Founded in 2002 under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Lucas da Costa, SE., MSi, UNPAZ has made substantial strides in the realm of academia. The initial structure included:- Faculty of Economics
