Dili, 11 October 2025 - University of Peace together with Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) held a workshop on research and leadership for higher education in Timor-Leste for two days from 10-11 Saturday at UNPAZ.

International Trainer Dr. Leenawaty Limantara said, this workshop is a book for leaders, because in this workshop we talk more about daily activities such as, a leadership must have a strong decision, because the leader is the one who makes decisions in an institution and the leadership knows better than its members.

“To be a good leader must know how to solve problems when they occur in the organization, therefore leadership needs to know about the methods used, to identify problems, find out the root of the problem and how to provide solutions to problems that occur, must have integrity, because if a person as a leader is an example to his members”, said Leenawaty.

In the same place, representing the Rector of the University of Peace, as Vice Rector of Academic Affairs, Joaninho Xavier Hei Lic.CSH., M.Ed., Ph.D. I would like to thank the speakers and trainers who have given lessons for two days, and shared their experiences with the participants who have participated during the two days.

The Magnificent Representative apologized to the trainers if during the two days the participants made some mistakes against the trainers or some situations did not follow the will if we humans are not guilty I represent apologize.

The attendance at the two-day workshop held at UNPAZ was attended by lecturers from the University of Peace and other higher education institutions in Timor-Leste.
