Governing Body and Administrative Management
The leadership pattern applied by UNPAZ is structural participative model (Structural participative theory of leadership) with character of instructional leadership and administration leadership. This system, involving the participation of the subordinates in considering the decisions to be taken by the Rector.
Rector motivates subordinates to give participation and contribution in reviewing each decision in a balanced manner. In participatory theory, the Rector has full right to choose relevant ideas on the actual situation and condition.
Management system that used in UNPAZ is structural administration system. Since last evaluation, UNPAZ modified its management and organizational system and establish the adequate divisions of work including: academic service, administration and finance service, student affairs and external service, center of research and community service and quality internal assurance service. All of the divisions are connected each other and come from one commando namely Rector.
The administration system of UNPAZ is regulated in the Statutes and Manual of Administration of UNPAZ. A new and actual Rector was elected in 2019 and since 2019 UNPAZ presents a new governing body with Vice-Rectors and Pro Rectors. Currently there are five (5) Vice Rectors and two (2) Pro Rectors who assisting the Rector in various areas:
- Vice Rector for Academic Affairs
- Vice Rector for General Administration and Finance
- Vice Rector for Student Affairs
- Vice Rector for External Cooperation
- Vice Rector for Postgraduate Program
- Pro Rector for Research center and Publishing
- Pro Rector for Human Resource Development
There are six deans who lead the faculty level and around 20 Head of Departments who are linked and supervised directly by the Rector who are considered as a structural level. There are also councils who have roles to advice the Rector; Legal Counsel, IQA Counsel, Auditing Counsel, Disciplinary Counsel, Pedagogy Counsel, Counseling and Security Counsel.
