Dili, 26 October 2025- University of Peace (UNPAZ), through the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering together with its structure, was inaugurated to the Elected Senate with its structure for the academic year 2025-2026, in the Jose de Casimiro Hall.

Through the scope of the inauguration, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, José Manuel Maniquin, A.P., Lic.Tec., M. Eng., PhD explains, being the head of the senate must organize students from the faculty, to do activities that have positive value and can not organize students according to the senate's right or according to some people's wishes to do actions outa of the faculty outside the corridor of the university, if there are activities outside the faculty structure must be known by the dean of the university.

The dean also asked the elected senate that, becoming a member of the student senate can help us increase our knowledge in terms of institution but as well as students, the senate needs to follow the student rules that come to study and can not use the reason of the senate activity to not enter the classroom in the process of learning.

In addition, the elected senate Verdigal Tomas Naha-Lequi added, in the senate university is senate student general in senate faculty are now holding elections but in the future senate faculty's job is to help activity faculty and university especially in extra-curricular activity and academic.

Meanwhile, participated in the swearing in ceremony, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and its structure, the structure of the Elected Senate and the outgoing Senate including students from the Faculty of Engineering.
