A Brief History

 On October 24, 2011, held a signature of the Memorandum of Understanding between the director of Universidade da Paz (UNPAZ), Prof. DR. Lucas da Costa, M.Si and Dr. Inigo, Vice President of the Lyceum of the Philippines University,  at the campus of Universidade da Paz, witnessed by the former director of the graduate program and current Minister of Justice,  Dionisio Soares Babo, SH, M.Phil, Ph.D and Deputy of the Ambassdor of the Philippines for Timor Leste, Vice Directors, Deans and Vice Deans, Faculty Members and Students of the Universidade da Paz (UNPAZ). 

 On November 15, the program started its enrollment process by receiving new students for the formation. Actually the enrollment was divided into two phases such as from November 15, to December 15, 2011 for the first phase and further the second phase was started from December 16, 2011 to January 12, 2012. The opening session of the new school year was started on January 10, 2012. The program is in the third semester now. 

B. Objective

The objectives of establishing the graduate program in International Relation are;

1. To produce scholars for conducting research and analysis on Timor Leste’s Foreign policy. 
2. To produce the young diplomat to work for Timor Leste’s diplomacy area both inside and outside Timor Leste.  
3. To prepare resources to develop  the  course of international relation in Timor Leste;  

C. Enrollment Schedule;

• Enrollment for   m or application form can be obtained at the secretariat of the program at the second floor of the Building B,

UNPAZ;

• The request letter should be addressed to the director of the master program and then sending it to the bellow mail address: Secretariado do Programa Mestrado, Universidade da Paz (UNPAZ) Rua. Osindo I  Manleuana, Dili, Timor Leste.

D. Schedule for Entrance exam;

• Entrance exam is scheduled for the last week of October in each year. 
• The entrance exam is held once in a year.

5. Method of teaching

The teaching method composes of class tutorial, group discussion or individual paper and presentation, seminars and field research. 

6. Class Schedule

The class schedule is daily basis class including Saturday and Sunday (if needed). The class starts from 6-9 pm. 

7. Duration of the study

The students are required to pass the subjects with the total units between 42-50 units with the average GBW 2.75. The program might be finished within four (4) semesters and no longer then 8 semesters.

11. Pre-requisites of the candidates of the program

1. The candidates should be a baccalaureate Degrees in International Relations or at least 6 Units of Subjects Related to International Studies
2. The candidates should presents the TOFEL testing with 400 scores Or ILTS. with 4.
3. Certificate of Information Technology  L. Application process  

1. The candidate may take application form the Secretariado do Programa Mestrado, Universidade da Paz (UNPAZ) Rua. Osindo I Manleuana, Dili, Timor Leste.
2. The candidate has to fill up the enrollment sheet provide at the secretariat of the program, UNPAZ. 
3. The candidates are required to submit the certificate of the TOEFEL (score 400) and ILTS (score 4) and Information

Technology to the secretariat of the program;

4. The candidates have to take the entrance exam in accordance with the schedule fixed by the program.  

M. School Fees

2. Enrollment's fees : $ 20
3. Entrance exam’s fees : $ 25
4. School’s fees : $ 750/semester 
5. Installment's fees (Uang Gedung) : $500 for the whole packet.
